What is Ubin Day?

Ubin Day is Ubin Open House! Once a year, people and groups who love Ubin come together to organise special events for the public to celebrate Pulau Ubin.

These events passionately highlight Ubin's unique charms. Its culture, kampung life, nature and wildlife, Ubin land and sea. Through these events, we hope to also raise awareness of Pulau Ubin and issues on Pulau Ubin.

Ubin Day is held in the kampung spirit! Indulging in the Ubin Way: laid back, relaxed. Friendly and homely. Celebrating the traditional and natural. Getting to know one another as we explore and enjoy Pulau Ubin. Here's more about what to see and do on Pulau Ubin.

History of Ubin Day

Ubin Day was first held in April 2002 organised by Grant Pereira with the Singapore Environment Council. There was a second Ubin Day in 2003.

More than a decade later, Ubin Day was revived in 2014. Thanks to the support of 31 organising groups who contributed activities to make Ubin Day a success. Ubin Day is a part of the the Ubin project. Hopefully this will become a yearly event for all to enjoy!
